A Chinese-funded enterprise in Vietnam burst into a fire and Guangxi fire fighting transnational rescue for 23 hours
At about 8:00 a.m. on April 4, the Guangxi Fangchenggang Fire Brigade received a call from the Dongxing Foreign Affairs Office saying that a Chinese-funded enterprise in Mangjie City, Guangning Province, Vietnam, had a fire accident at 3:00 a.m., and the location of the fire was the cotton fiber raw material warehouse. No one was trapped. It requested the Guangxi Dongxing Fire Brigade to start the fire cooperation mechanism for support. Fangchenggang Fire Detachment immediately reported to Guangxi Headquarters, and after obtaining the consent, 62 officers and soldiers from 15 vehicles were dispatched to Mangjie City, Guangning Province, Vietnam in three batches for cross-border reinforcement.
At about 9:00 a.m. on April 4, the first batch of Chinese fire fighting forces arrived at the fire scene one after another. It was understood that the material on fire was cotton fiber raw material, with an area of 8000m ²， The enterprise property equivalent to more than one billion yuan was threatened. After the fire, Vietnam began to rescue at the first time, dispatching 10 fire engines and 40 rescue personnel to the scene for disposal. But it was still difficult to put out the fire until the morning of April 4.
Subsequently, the on-site commander immediately ordered the 60m high jet fire truck to control the fire in the south, the 25m high jet fire truck to control the fire in the west, and the rest of the water tank fire trucks to control the fire in the east with mobile water cannons and do a good job of water supply guarantee. Vietnam's fire forces to control the fire in the north gate and the warehouse. In addition, the city of Fangchenggang in Guangxi mobilized 4 large hooks and 2 forklifts to assist in the rescue.
At about 10 o'clock that night, with the joint efforts of both parties, a 180-meter fire isolation zone has been opened at the fire site, and the fire has been completely controlled. At 4:40 a.m. on April 5, China and Vietnam cooperated to launch a general attack on the fire and put out the open fire completely at 5:10. At about 8:30 a.m., Guangxi firefighters and soldiers fought for nearly 23 hours. After clearing the fire, the firefighters and soldiers left the scene.
The reporter learned that in 2016, the fire department of Mangjie City, Guangning Province, Vietnam, and the fire forces of Dongxing City, Guangxi Province, held an exchange and work meeting. The two sides actively explored the cross-border fire cooperation mechanism in the border cities of China and Vietnam, and strengthened the bilateral mutual assistance in fire fighting, rescue and disaster relief. This emergency transnational rescue is the first transnational fire rescue participated by Guangxi fire department.
